Dr Shivaprasad Goudar, MD, MHPE is a Professor of Physiology at J N Medical College, Belagavi and Director-Research of KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Belagavi, Karnataka, India. He heads the NICHD Global Network for Women’s and Children’s Health Research Site at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi as the International Principal Investigator and is the Director of its WHO Collaborating Centre for Research in Maternal and Perinatal Health. He is also the PI for the Indian Council of Medical Research Collaborating Centre of Excellence. He is involved in the design and implementation of research protocols aimed at improving the health outcomes of women and children residing in low resource settings.
