John Bolnga

Professor John W Bolnga John W Bolnga (MBBS,DGO, MMED O&G, MD) is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with more than 20 years of experience and currently Head of O&G Services at Madang Provincial Health Authority. John is also a Research Fellow with PNG Institute of Medical Research, Professor at the Divine Word University, Honorary Lecturer and External Examiner with SMHS of University of PNG and Associate Member of RANZCOG. Apart from full time clinical duties, he teaches and supervises Midwifery programs to Health Extension Officers, MBBS and Post graduate Diploma’s, Masters level and assists Higher Degrees. Over the years, John has enabled a conducive working environment for local and international partners in research collaborations and capacity building for researchers, scientists and clinicians. His area of interest is in clinical research with everyday work in resource-limited settings, leading to implementation and policy changes that is both feasible and sustainable, particularly for women’s health.
